Approach to Therapy

Dr. Felicia Fisher-Green is dedicated to empowering, educating and walking with others on their journey to true wellness.  She strives to create a safe, authentic and comfortable therapeutic space for her clients.  Dr. Green takes the stance that clients are the authority of their life and possess inherent strengths which allow them to be the best and healthiest versions of themselves.  Using herself as a therapeutic tool, Dr. Green incorporates her humor, directness and compassion to build a collaborative therapeutic relationship with her clients.  Dr. Green's therapeutic approach is integrative in nature, which allows therapy to be tailored to each client’s goals, needs and personality.   In order to promote increased insight and change, Dr. Green helps clients identify unhealthy behavioral, relational, and emotional patterns and encourages healthy exploration and meaning around those identified patterns. 

Speciality & Expertise

Dr. Felicia Green has experience working with a variety of populations and a range of mental health disorders.  Currently,  Dr. Green specializes working with professional black women, women of color and indigenous women.  Dr. Green is passionate about helping these women achieve interpersonal, professional and mental wellness.  Clients that typically excel when working with Dr. Green are fully engaged in the process and ready to work towards their desired change.

Credentials

Dr. Green received a masters and doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston.  She completed her pre-doctoral internship at San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health (accredited by American Psychological Association) in San Bernardino, CA where she provided therapy and psychological testing services to individuals identified as severely mentally ill.  Additionally, Dr. Felicia Green completed a post-doctoral fellowship at North Texas Veteran’s Affairs Hospital where she received specialized training in couple’s therapy and provided therapeutic services to veterans.
